- Air Jordan 3 Retro 'White Cement' Official Images
The elephant in the room 🐘 The most anticipated release of an early 2023 is slowly descending upon us. Since the chatter began last year of another "reimagined" Air Jordan Retro, the realization that it was the 'White Cement' Air Jordan 3 would be the next certainly riled up the intrigue of the sneaker community. And once that was confirmed by Jordan Brand as part of their spring rollout for 2023, all bets were off. As many have said across social media, a three pair minimum rule is in effect, because this pair is not only a classic, but it is a classic done perfect. From the aging accents taking the pair from a stark Summit White to a slightly eggshell look on the midsole and heel tab – the retro returns a keen attention to detail on the elephant printed heel and toe counters as well. A much received element, and the tongue lining correctly tucked behind the crisp leather tongue. What more can you say about this pair other than, PERFECTION. Have a look at the glorious official images below as the 'White Cement' Air Jordan 3 Retro (Reimagined) will drop on March 11th in full family sizing. - Bright Colors Pop On END's Trio of adidas Collaborations
Bright is my favorite color. European retailer END is digging deep into the inspirational vault to cultivate their next adidas collaboration. Spread across three silhouettes; the ZX 420, Handball Spezial, and Bermuda – the trio all feature their likeness from the Bauhaus movement. The artistic style was prominent in Germany from 1919-1933 and it was meant to combine multiple artistic mediums into one approach. It's often manifested in a geometrical, angular, abstract manner with little ornamentation. The ZX 420 is the calmer of the three silhouettes in this project. It's eggshell, off-white base is accented by blue and Team Yellow touches on the three stripes across the middle of the model and a bright red heel. But the Handball Spezial is where things begin to get playful. The silhouette is a smooth suede upper with red and Team Yellow hits across the three stripes with a deep blue raised outsole and SPEZIAL adorned in gold with the Trefoil adidas Originals logo. Lastly is the blistering Bermuda dripped in Team Yellow with red and blue stripes and off-white flat laces. Each model features specialized END branding with the three primary colors and the message of "bright is my favorite color" subtly stitched into the inner tag. Release is scheduled for February 23rd via END. - A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 12
Fire and Power. Storytelling is not a lost art, it is not lost upon James Whitner, A Ma Maniére, The Whitaker Group and Jordan Brand. Since embarking on this journey in 2021, the storefront has created wonderment and instilled deeper meaning behind the product that influences the stories told. From tales of airness to being raised by women, to the bold and powerfully forging statement that, she is the blueprint; the A Ma Maniére story is still being written. The next chapter is set to unfold and contained within its pages is royalty and luxury. Fire and power. Grace and triumph. The Air Jordan 12 holds an unique place among the Air Jordan signature line. - Nike Brings a Penny Hardaway Foamposite One PE To Market
Shiny Penny When Nike and Penny Hardaway connected on the Air Foamposite One, it was almost [no pun intended] like magic. Literally armed with futuristic, molded and sculpted wavy upper and translucent outsole and herringbone traction – Eric Avar's design has gone on to mythical status. Over the years, the Foamposite One has seen all kinds of releases. Whether it was solid colors, premium material swaps, full-body graphics, iridescent and transitioning palettes – the silhouette has truly seen it all in nearly three decades. But the release of one original colorway. While the 2023 go-to-market pair is not a direct one-of-one player exclusive that Hardaway wore but it does mirror it very closely. From the white Foamposite molded upper to the black eyestay – that has been reworked in tumbled leather rather that its traditional nubuck, the hue of blue is also lighter than that of the Orlando Magic's '90s color palette. - Jayson Tatum Shines in Jordan Tatum 1 Debut
All-Star MVP for the newest Jordan Brand signature athlete All-Star Sunday, February 19th, 2023 will remain a historic day for Boston Celtics star, Jayson Tatum. At 24 years old, he became the youngest 4-time All-Star in the storied history of the 17-time World Champion Celtics history, he netted an All-Star Game record of 55 points (breaking Anthony Davis's record of 52) and did so all while debuting his first signature model with Jordan Brand, the Jordan Tatum 1. Since making the jump across campus from Nike to Jordan in 2019, Tatum's star has increasingly shined brighter with each passing season. Last year, he led the Celtics to their first trip to the NBA Finals since the 2009-10 campaign, and has increased his production this subsequent season. The premiere signature silhouette for Tatum takes inspiration from his home of St. Louis, and aesthetically from his need to have a shoe that feels seamlessly connected to his foot. Connection is not just a hyperbolic buzzword for Tatum and Jordan Brand but it is a continued theme throughout the entire ethos. "I want people to feel like they can connect to me," – Jayson Tatum Built with a TPU caged frame, the Tatum 1's upper is reinforced allowing for excess material to be striped away in the construction of the model but also conversely utilizes an uncaged, cut through Zoom Airbag in the forefoot. Additionally, as a young father himself, the Tatum 1 also has a focus on the kids' design. "I remember being a kid, walking into the store, and looking for the signature shoes of my favorite players. The moment I saw the shoe or put the shoe on, I felt like I was in sync and closer to them in a way. So, I want this shoe to be a bridge between my fans and me to bring us closer together." The kids' version features a TPU tailgate system to help with easy entry and also removes the Zoom bag for a more comfortable feeling. And to the previous note about connectivity – each colorway features a theme from a previous Tatum x Air Jordan player exclusive, from the 'Zoo' to the 'Barbershop', 'St. Louis' and 'Pink Lemonade'. The Jordan Tatum 1 launches in full family sizing on April 7th.
- Nike Air Griffey Max 1 'Cincinnati Reds' Release Date
New take on Junior's hometown team ⚾️ Since re-entering the fold in 2021 for the silhouette's 25th anniversary, Nike has kept a steady influx of Air Griffey Max 1s coming in the years that followed. And 2023 will be no different, as a new rendition on an old theme is set to drop this spring. While many may still be clamoring (myself included) for the original look of the 'Cincinnati Reds' Air Griffey Max 1, Nike delivers a look that draws its inspiration from the Reds' away uniforms. Griffey, who desired to be closer to his family in the town he grew up in, was traded from Seattle to his father's old ball club in 2000, and effectively switched over his number from 24 to 30 and subsequently to 3. While those details are not present on the initial Griffey signature, the look still captures Junior's time in the Midwest. With a Pure Platinum base and accenting hits of University Red and White sprinkled in, the color scheme is clean overall, and we'll have no choice but to hold firm until we get the OG look. But, be that as it may – the new look 'Reds' colorway is set to drop on MLB Opening Day, March 30th. For those in the area, you can cop and then head over to Great American Ballpark to watch the Reds host the Pittsburgh Pirates. See the official images below for both men's and grade school sizing ... for the "junior" "Junior Griffeys and pricing info. - Union x Air Jordan 1 KO Low
It could be so simple. As rumors swirl about of a forthcoming Air Jordan 1 collaboration between Union x Jordan Brand slated for later in 2023, the duo which seemingly has turned out a product launch each year since 2018 continues their journey with a cult classic. As the tagline states "it could be so simple.", the Union x Air Jordan 1 KO Low is just that. Simplicity personified. It takes time. Tom Sachs's x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe is back for a sequel run in 2023 after a successful 2022 launch. - Tiffany & Co. x Nike Air Force 1
A legendary pair. Contrary to those who refuse to acknowledge the obvious, that streetwear is indeed here and going nowhere, the latest luxurious refined take from the Swoosh comes to us this spring. Tiffany & Co.'s rich history of fine trinkets, jewelry and accessories is finding itself in the ultimate crossover. Taking Bruce Kilgore's 1982 Air Force 1 and marrying the ethos of the Swoosh with that of the New York mainstay which was founded back in 1837. Nearly two centuries of Tiffany & Co. history is embodied in this black nubuck Air Force 1 Low, armed with a bright Tiffany Blue Swoosh across the lateral and medial paneling; along with a Tiffany branded tongue tab and a solid silver plate on the heel. Matching black textured leather comprising the eyestay and heel tab as well. The pairing is another venture outside of the brand's conventional ethos as we've seen before with their work with Supreme. And now, the pairing with the Swoosh; which can be akin to Nike's partnership with Louis Vuitton – both under the LVMH umbrella. And in true Tiffany & Co. fashion, accessories are part of the fray with that being a toothbrush; likened to Nike's nod to using the utensil to keep your AF1s clean and an important part of sneaker culture. To a shoehorn, whistle and Tiffany Blue laces with a silver lacelock. The luxurious take on the Forces will drop on March 7th, to the tune of $400. Update: The Tiffany x Nike Air Force 1 will release on SNKRS. Tiffany & Co. x Nike Air Force 1 "1837" Black/Tiffany Blue DZ1382-001 3. 7. 23. $400
- Ronnie Fieg Celebrates New Kith Storefronts with Milestone Asics Collab
No. 99 and 100 for Fieg x Asics 2007 – the year everything began for Ronnie Fieg and Asics. For those unaware of the story, Fieg was working for his mentor, David Z in Queens at his retail location and it was there that the working relationship began; where Fieg essentially went into the vault to help resurrect the Gel Lyte III. Over the years, and with the advent of KITH – Asics was an integral component to the launch of the storefront and brand. With memorable collaborations along the way. Whether it be the 'Salmon Toe' Asics Gel Lyte III, the East Coast Project in 2013, the 'Volcano' Gel Lyte V and countless modern classics; the two have been hand-in-hand for 16 years with no signs of slowing down. To celebrate the opening of KITH's two newest locations; Beverly Hills and a second Miami storefront, Fieg x Asics will launch their 99th and 100th projects. Utilizing one of Fieg's connecting threads, the 'Super' theme is reprised on the Gel Lyte III with the 'Super Orange' and 'Super Yellow'. Both with muted nubuck bases, the runners have been remastered to feature an upgrade in material and reshaping. Using the 2007 mold as their muse; the goal was to recreate the nearly exact specifications of the silhouette from 16 years ago and in the words of Fieg; "we left no stone unturned." From it has come the two Gel Lyte IIIs Remastered. Even down to the original packaging and hang tags. The 'Super Orange' colorway will coincide with the opening of KITH Beverly Hills on Friday, February 3rd; while the 'Super Yellow' will be available at the Miami Design District flagship location upon its opening. Expect the two to launch at KITH's international locations and online later, according to KITH. And explore the Beverly Hills location and both models after the jump. KITH Beverly Hills 262 N.
