  • Patta x Mizuno Turn Back The Clock to the 90s

The 1990s is perhaps the most influential era in fashion and pop culture and as we find history repeating itself in the form of fashion, Patta x Mizuno take aim at reversing the hands of time. Always known for their clean motifs and projects, Patta collaborates on the Mizuno Sky Medal. Originally debuted during the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics, the runner made its initial release to market in 1994. From its low profile to the bold Mizuno logo that rests along the lateral and medial quarters, the third installment in the collaboration includes a clean Ivory perforated base and matching midsole/outsole, and bold green overlay that spans and cuts and contours the entire length of the upper. Seamlessly blending sport and lifestyle, this sportstyle launch is slated to drop April 1st at Patta, with additional retailers to follow in a subsequent drop on April 15th.

  • OFF-WHITE Wins Red Zip Tie Claim

"VICTORY" OFF-WHITE was officially awarded a win in the brand's claim for its now (legally) patented zip tie. Since its utilization beginning in 2016, the zip tie has become an integral part of the OFF-WHITE product experience. As one of the staple elements alongside the usage of quotations, the copyright and trademark symbols and the aligned left text descriptors; the red zip tie was officially granted a patent with the United States Patent & Trademark Office. The process began in 2018 with the first application for the accessory, and met several roadblocks along the journey. Now designated as registration no. 6,681,777; serial number 88-041,456 with the USPTO, its description is as follows (in-part): three-dimensional configuration of a zip tie with a substantially rectangular end, all in the color red as used on footwear. This also marks another win for additional OFF-WHITE staple elements with the USPTO. With the red zip tie now legally OFF-WHITE's, thought turns to protections of across variations of the zip tie in color. OFF-WHITE explored what you could do with the zip tie back in 2017, as seen below.

  • OFF-WHITE x Nike Blazer Low Dropping In Two Colorways

"LEGACY" Since the untimely passing of Virgil Abloh in November, the state of his OFF-WHITE brand has been left in flux. But the brand intends to continue Abloh's vision and execute the multi-hyphenated creator's ethos. Among the visions left behind is the soon-to-be-released Nike Blazer Low. Originally part of 'The Ten' collection that introduced us to Nike x OFF-WHITE, the Blazer which made its appearance in a high form is being scaled down for the first time under Abloh's care. Utilizing elements from previous OFF-WHITE x Nike collaborations, such as; the circular cutouts that are aplenty across the full grain leather upper – to the enhanced lacing system that is held in place by Flywire loops, which we've seen on the track inspired models and the 50 Nike Dunks from last summer. In addition to traditional OFF-WHITE signature elements; the tab under the Swoosh, (now patented) zip tie and OFF branding. The curious twist however comes from the TPU heel component that draws DNA from the Air Terra Humara. And for those keeping score at home, that is the same early 2000s model that the NOCTA x Nike Hot Step was born from. The curiosity from Abloh came from a simple question: Can we… splice the real Humara tooling and fuse it into a vulcanized sole? Mission accomplished. The posthumous OFF-WHITE x Nike release will take place Friday, April 8th on SNKRS. OFF-WHITE x Nike Blazer Low White/University Red DH7863-100 4. 8. 22. $140 OFF-WHITE x Nike Blazer Low Black/Electro Green DH7863-001 4. 8. 22. $140
