LeBron James in the 'First Game' Nike Air Zoom Generation - November 5, 2003
Despite 2023 being the 20th anniversary of LeBron James descent and simultaneous start of his meteoric rise, the 'First Game' Air Zoom Generation is experiencing its second retro release. You may recall January 2017, the initial rollout of the LeBron signature line retro that didn't really go smoothly. There was the exclusive StockX collaboration with the Cleveland Cavaliers, which featured a box from the Cavaliers' floor from their lone championship sealing season. And then there was the release via SNKRS and a scarce number of retailers. The first retro also featured a darker 'Varsity Crimson' which was more in line with the Cavs' color palette at the time. The 2023 iteration however returns to the OG blistering red jacquard mesh tooling along the quarters and collar that helped draw eyes to it on-court. Deep Midnight Navy accents wrap the entire white leather H2 Hummer inspired debut signature of LBJ; along with the golden "11-5-2003" stitched into the inner lining, signifying James's first home game in front of the Cavaliers faithful.
