Reggie Miller in the Nike Air Flight Huarache vs. the Boston Celtics in the Boston Garden (1992)
This is not the first go round for the Nike Air Flight Huarache. Having released in multiple colorways, both original and new since its 1992 birth – the classic Nike Basketball silhouette has been donned by Scottie Pippen during the 1992 NBA All-Star Game in Orlando, also by Reggie Miller during that time period (pictured above), the model also cut its teeth on the collegiate level as it was worn by all five members of Michigan's fabled "Fab Five" as well.
The upcoming re-release of the timeless Air Flight Huarache precedes the rumored release of Kobe Bryant's 'Away' player exclusive from his early days at the Swoosh. But also gives credence that the colorway is not too far away. Circling back to the OG colorway, it retains its original design, build and color blocking as designed by Tinker Hatfield and Eric Avar. A white leather base with a deep black high ankle cage that exposes the Lyon Blue and Berry sockliner bootie.
