Nike has reportedly announced internally a new Vice President of SNKRS. Sixteen-year Swoosh veteran, Lucy Rouse will be overseeing the popular [and sometimes frustrating] app which has been a fixture of Nike's release scene since 2015. The move comes a year after controversy surrounded the brand and their releases with the departure of Ann Hebert. The SNKRS app has in recent years grown frustrating for many sneakerheads, and contrary to popular belief, even employees are relegated to using the app; including CEO John Donahoe. The announcement was reportedly detailed internally, where her title will be VP/GM of SNKRS Launch and will also oversee NBHD and S23NYC, which details Nike's top-tier neighborhood boutiques and the New York studio where the SNKRS team resides.
Beginning as an Account Executive in apparel in 2005, she operated out of Sydney, Australia – to her current title of VP/GM Women's - EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) since 2020. The transition is expected to begin April 4th.
