An Air Jordan 9 OG with a twist
Another original Air Jordan gets a refreshed retro appearance. Taking the 'Olive' Air Jordan 9 which debuted in 1994, and merging it slightly with the 'Aqua' Air Jordan 8 from 1993, we have a new twist on the colorway. In its true color scheme, the Olive 9 is accented by Varsity Red hits on the tongue tag, Jumpman logo on the lateral outsole, and on the heel, but in this instance we see a rich Concord infusion accenting the mainstays and a touch of Aquatone which is reminiscent of the previously mentioned AJ8.
The release however perhaps gives hope to another true 'Olive' Air Jordan 9 Retro release in the future. The last was in 2012 and featured a slightly altered coloring to the Olive nubuck overlay – perhaps we'll see it closer to the '94 OG in terms of coloring. But that's for another day down the road.
