thisisneverthat Channels '90s & '00s Running For New Balance Project

For the downtown run

Arguably, the most influential era in modern history belongs to the 1990s. From its impact on culture, media, fashion – 1991-1999 had it all. Not to be overshadowed, the 2000s crashed the party and start the new millennium with an influx of futuristic looks and styles; chrome everything, it was loud, it was bold and it was undoubtedly an era.

Korean streetwear imprint thisisneverthat channels both decades for their next collaborative effort with New Balance. Taking us back to yesteryear, the New Balance 2002R embraces its '90s roots and does so in the Massachusetts brand's timeless grey motif. And running alongside the 2002R is the New Balance 1906R, resurrected from the 2000s, with its breathable mesh upper, mix of Rain Cloud-Metallic Silver-Grey, the look is an early '00s signature. But also features touches of a tinted aged aesthetic on the upper and comprising the midsole.

Release of the collaboration in the US is scheduled for August 19th. Both pairs will be available online at New Balance.
