Thursday – Nike officially announced a multiyear partnership between Jordan Brand and Howard University. The brand adds yet another prestigious institution to their Rolodex that includes; the University of North Carolina, the University of Michigan, UCLA and a select group of others. For Jordan Brand, Howard is the first Historically Black College/University (HBCU) to be outfitted by the brand. Here's a rundown of the partnership, directly from the press release:

The partnership aims to elevate Howard University’s athletic department, unlock new opportunities for recruitment and inspire a new generation to dream of excellence.

In addition to the partnership with Howard University, Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand’s $100M commitment to the Black Community helps advance the work of organizations fighting to create systemic change.
