Earlier this year, adidas collaborated with Prada – in a clean exhibition of contrasting beauty and elegance. And since its initial tease during Milan Fashion Week in late-February, the Three Stripes continues to take aim at the upper echelon of fashion, working with the esteemed Gucci brand.
Taking the lead in creative direction is Alessandro Michele, who was tasked with combining the fashion house's ethos with that of the sportswear giant. The result; a satirical set of sportswear pieces that are both runway ready but also takes a throwback athleisure aesthetic. The heritage of both iconic brands are ever present throughout the collection. From the logos, to the three stripes hints and the staple Gucci green and red motif, typographies and more.
The lookbook, which was photographed by Carlijn Jacobs explores a sporty look that mirrors high-fashion and streetwear blends. Release is scheduled for June 7th at select Gucci stores, dedicated Pop-Ups, and online on Gucci as well as on the adidas CONFIRMED app; along with the release of a separate, dedicated campaign.
